I assumed the drains in the Ancients room was just for blood but it may play a dual role as a last ditch effort to escape if their bodies are destroyed. Really stupid not to the people they send to kill the master. When they said alert us when you find the Master I thought they just wanted to see him die but it may have been so they could kill the "red worm" without alerting anyone else as to how to kill an Ancient? It also now makes the intro make sense.
shareThat's pretty much what I got from it. It makes sense that they'd want to keep that secret to themselves, although telling Quinlan wouldn't have mattered, as he'd end up dead as soon as the master did.

And Eichorst always used to dim the sunlight in Eldrich Palmer's office but now he doesn't???

I thought the same. At first Quinlan rubs some dirt on his skin that could block UV on his arms, but only on his arms. Maybe he applied something else on his skin earlier? Just recovering his arms where some has rubbed off? Guess we will see.
Since he is 1/2 human so the light doesn't kill him just very uncomfortable. Like holding your hand to close to a campfire?
I have rethought this. Has UV intensified over the last 2000 years? Are we moving closer or farther from the sun? Could this be enough to have any kind of affect on Quinlan?
