Actually, he wears a white wig and tons of make-up to make him look that old in the series.

funny , I re-watched the Jumanji last week and i did recognized him when he played Van Pelt, a big-game hunter with the white hair makeup , but i didn't realize he also played Alan's Dad 's character . He is not that old ,only 68 and back in 1995 he was in his late 40's
