Yes, there are thousands of strigoi down there and bombing from below would collapse the park, but it makes far more sense from a tactical point of view to just drop bombs rather than engage in basically arm to arm combat. Hell, you could drop a whole bunch of those silver grenades down there or use colloidal silver or silver nitrate. I mean there are mainly ways to weaponize silver.

The military would only spare a team of SEALs. And that was when they had resouces to spare.

Strike teams with flamethrowers hooked up to flammable liquids tanker trucks? Even in the book there wasn't a mention of the Strigoi being burned to death with simple waves of fire weapons. There's always the risk of them running around on fire, but small groups of them being hit with flamethrowers from different sides would slow them down some what.
