Where did all the Strigoi come from at the end of the last episode?

A whole nest of them got "silvered" to death UNDERNEATH Central Park. So did the Strigoi IN Central Park just come from somewhere else? Just I wonder where they had been hiding and how no one had discovered there whereabout?

Bad writing! No story line that makes sense. If the master is so f-ing powerful why has he not the master of the world by now!

reply

Taco Bell.

So there are literally 15 million vamps in NYC, which only had 14 million people when the whole plague began.

reply

There were many smaller nests all over the city, and The Master could order them all to mobilize and attack.

Honestly, not hard to figure out.

As Ferraldo said, they never imagined that many people had been turned.

There are almost nine million people in New York. It works the same way as with zombies, except strigoi are faster and can infect you from a distance, and are controlled by a central mind. A central mind that has been amassing an army, and hiding it. A superior strategist.

but i thought with the Master's death (or his body being dead) the connection was broken and thus the strigoi were weaker and potentially going *beep*

reply

He found a new body. This was stated in the last episode.

Who would go into Central Park after dark now?

And as for tunnels, the show has been fairly correct on NYC streets although the exterior shots are often from who knows where (I kind of gagged at that shot of "west 57th Street" in this last episode); one of NYC's subway lines runs under the northwest corner of Central Park. If the vampires had tunneled it before it was blocked off, if it was, then they had an open route to all of Manhattan above 110th Street.

reply

Apparently the strigoi were all hiding Uptown and nobody thought to look up that way.

The nest was a distraction. The Master already knew they were coming which they clearly indicated in multiple scenes yet he didn't order the nest to disperse.
