The only thing that crossed my mind which later Fet did kind of explain, is why didnt Fet protect his parents like he did the city. Don't you do anything to protect you're loved ones. I know he did go back and warn them but I just feel he should have done more for them.
Definitely reasonable concern, but to be fair his parents weren't going to leave and didn't respect his thoughts at all. All he could have done was go to the apartment and stand guard 24/7.
Also, I keep forgetting, but Fett mentioned this all started just 2-4 weeks earlier. So he kind of immediately got caught up in a whole heap of serious stuff.
