This episode is terrible

Way too much Zach and Gus.

reply

OK, Fet being awesome made up for some of the Gus/Zach stuff.

At least the ridiculous Gus-and-Angel-on-a-chain-gang arc is over almost as soon as it began.

I wanna know how Eichorst and/or Kelly managed to make the blind spider-vamp NOT feel the urge to drain Zack dry on sight. The Master's influence ? They really are a specialized strigoi and are THAT trainable? I thought it was sort of cute (and creepy), but you know that thing is dead by the end of this season and Zack is gonna be unjustifiably pissed about it.

Let's just hope it doesn't lead to a Gus-searches-for-his-mom arc.

Seriously. I guess blind kids make the most obedient vampires.

I still don't get how Kelly didn't suck him dry when The Master was crawling around as a red worm, since she has repeatedly felt the urge and would've gone through with it each time if The Master didn't pop into her head and stop her.

reply

I just chalk up Kelly not feeding on Zack post-Master's-beheading to the possibility that the red worm still has a telepathic connection with and control over all his (its?) creations. It doesn't necessarily need to be in a host body to exert its influence.

And it ends with them splitting up, because apparently getting back alone is safer than to stay in a team in the tunnels. I wonder what the writers are thinking.

reply

Gus's instant chivalrous sympathy for the woman on the chain gang. Never mind the other chumps who die.

And why did they go deeper into the tunnels instead of back? Fearing the cops finding out about the two dead cops, I guess. I'd still take my chances with them over the strigoi.

Zach's got a strigoi friend!

Dutch, aim higher next time...Eichorst's bullcrap gloating supersedes his lightning fast reflexes. Why gloat to Eph, then try to turn him?

That one bothered me. She slices everyone else's head in half pretty efficiently, but gets the chance with Eichorst and can only manage to chop off his hand? He wasn't paying attention and didn't see it coming, so he didn't escape it. I get the feeling Eichorst is going to get his comeuppance eventually, but this "escape" was pretty weak writing. If he was going to get away, at least have him sense the attack, not just chalk it up to a "swing and a foul tip."

reply

i actually enjoyed the whole cheesy episode. I guess it's because I know it's a cheesy show.

reply

I still can't figure out how Gus fits into all of this. Why do we keep seeing him, and isn't he supposed to be working for the ancients? That didn't last long.

Yeah I can't believe how the little pet vampire can restrain from eating Zac yet his own mother couldn't.
