Now that Gus finally took out his mom, hopefully he'll meet up, with the rest of the cast? His story has gotten pretty boring the past two seasons.

shareGus has had me confused since the start of this season. I read more than a post or two that Gus from the books is a main character and an excellent fighter/warrior.
When Quinlan sought him out last season, had Gus breakout the Latino convicts to fight the Strigoi army and Quinlan dispatched Gus to get the Lumen -- all of those things made me think for sure that Gus would be working with or get more training by Quinlan.
I thought possibly that Gus would be the number two man or Quinlan's right-hand. However, it seems Quinlan and Gus separate after the ride on the tug boat and we are never told what happened or why.
That really surprised me. How is the book series Gus different from the TV show Gus?
