The concentration camp/blood farm is chilling...
My god the emotion it invoked in Abraham.
sharei agree. it's pretty horrifying. i felt very bad for Abe. he had lived through the Holocaust only to basically have it coming up again. that's brutal.
shareI see why it chills him to see it and sympathize, but there's no comparison between the two in terms of who's behind it -- human-on-human genocide is reprehensible, what The Master is doing is just in his nature (it's a plague, it's a different species going after its prey animal in as efficient a manner as we rounded up our eventual livestock and bred them more and more docile over generations). Though the argument could be made that one sentient species doing this to another is wrong (not that something as hungry as The Master/as vampires would stop to listen to that argument).
The real chilling part to all of it is that Eichorst gets to do this to humanity (and by extension Abe) TWICE in one lifetime (his AND Abe's) ! Scary. And makes him that much more hateable and in need of killing (but I love Richard Sammel, so hope he sticks around until next season).
Richard Sammel´s character will not die he´s integral to the story.
shareLike Nora?
Book-story and TV-story are (clearly) completely different, at this point. Half the characters are different/stories have diverged. Dutch doesn't even exist in the books; she's a major part of the TV-story.
"Personally I hope they make all the gods black and change it from Valhalla to Valholla!"
The Master is a sentient being who openly admits humans are weak, inferior more than just mere cattle. The Master has human collaborators who in turn for their loyalty he provides them with wealth and power.
shareThis show is now beyond officially disgusting, evil and way beyond UnGodly. I'm gone. Good riddance. I'll miss Fet but that's about all. I really think there's something wrong with the writers of this horrible horror. And something wrong with our society for being so desensitized to it.
shareThis whole thread is showing how SENSITIVE people are to it and recognize how truly disgusting and horrible the villains are in the show. This is a dark show with horrifying themes. Most people watch shows like this to see the villains defeated.
You're acting as if everyone that watches the show is rooting for genocide. That's just not true.
Ja it was messed up. I mean when building it obviously a lot of people knew what it's for (for example those two guys giving Eichhorst a tour). It's so much worse in the books though because when the Master officially dominates the world the humans just sort of are complacent and broken people who even help the vamps ensure that they remain slaves.
shareBut unlike other vamp movies (Daywalkers, Blade), this method exsanguinates them completely in one shot rather then keep them around as cattle. In the end, they will run out of their supply fairly quickly. I need to rewatch the episode regardless.
shareIn the books, there were human
shareAs we've seen by now the writing of the series is inferior to the books. In the books humans are bled then given time to recover. The master was very specific about not killing humans more than necessary AND not making too many vampires because that would mean more mouths to feed. The writers of the series... yeah, they got sloppy.
shareTruly horrific and even more sickening to see humans involved in this like that Sanjay and what for all for the sake of money. It really is one of the darkest horror shows I've seen, even the music is frightening. It's awesome to see something so chilling as usually it's toned down.
