This show was so good the first season that I read all the books. The tv show is far from the book. I guess I should have guessed that when Nora left, as she was pivotal to the books. However, the books were disjointed and after book 1 they started to falter as well. With that in mind I shouldn't have expected more from the tv show. I think at this point I keep watching because I started from the beginning and I want to see it through.
Yea, it's quite clear why one keeps watching it !! . It certainly entertains me. As OP stated the books went from good to just bad each one, but the show is no different than any other like it before. If you watch the walking dead or had watched lost than it's pretty much the same premise. It's just so out there it is fun. There is no outstanding writing or awards to be grabbed, but entertaining from week to week. I personally watch this over the other 2 shows aforementioned because I find it more fun. A show like this doesn't need to stick much to the books although you can see where they would be in terms of the book number.
According to all the shows on these boards, apparently not everyone watches certain shows for entertainment. Lol
But I'm entetained by the great quality shows as well as the fun cheesy ones. I just know the difference and don't expect the cheesy ones to become masterpieces. It cracks me up how many people take these type of shows so seriously. At least the OP knows not to expect too much from this one.
Seriously? I have hope for you. Few things you see on TV will save you. Only if you are able to stop being entertained, can you be saved I an watching and can not stop, so I hnow what I am takling about. Go for a walk <3

I've decided to stop watching the show after this last episode i was half way through, Zach's character grates on me too much, the way he is behaving makes literally no sense.
He's whining about not getting fresh air stuck in a dungeon with his vampire mother who is reassuring him that the master has a plan for them all and he's sort of just accepting this.
*beep* IS THAT, this kid surely understands that people are being wiped out he's seen people flat out murdered by monsters and he has no emotional response to it what so ever, bad writing and terrible terrible acting.
