The Strain is better than The Walking Dead
Last night's episode, titled "Do or Die" proves this.

Oh please, they're both a clusterfart at this stage. Trying to be original and veering off the books/comics........who knew, doesn't always work out for the better!
shareUsually focussing on making a good show works out better than trying to copy a different medium.
That said, if the show is so badly written, it really does not matter very much, as it would fail either way.
The books, sorry childish comics, are vastly overrated. Imo this show is far better and much more enjoyable.
The Walking Dead is just about the boring ass humans, the zombies are utter *beep*
*instigating* Are you people just going to let him get away with that?? Any comic book reader going to challenge the "childish books" commen??
*takes last sip of tea with pinky up! Puts teacup down. Picks up comic book, proudly rolls it up to be held under arm pit, sticks nose up in the air, then begins marching off as if leading a parade of high legged long stroke taking bugle blowing walkers, shifting cheeks of enthusiasm, letting loose childish farts carried by wind that would be visiting the noses still stuck up in air.*

I've stopped watching TWD as I've got no interest in watching fav characters getting beat to death by a baseball bat (on top of numerous other tragedies). I stopped watching GoT after one season for similar reasons.
And while most of season 2 was a bit ho-hum for me, I'm no horror fan, I really like some of the spectacular (dark comic book movie) violence and sex they've thrown at this show in season 3.

But why would I do that when I've still got the Strain?
ok, i say this as person who no longer likes or watched TWD (i completely love the first season a lot)...THE STRAIN is infinitely a more enjoyable show to watch than TWD is but as far as being the more quality show (writing-wise, cinematography, acting, etc.) TWD wins that race.
