I didn't find it believable. There's no way Eph would hold his own against Fet. There's no way Fet would let him. But in this fight, Fet moved slow and stood still long enough for Eph to hit him. Fet doesn't fight like that when he's really kicking ass.
To me, it was cute, but stupid.
sandifay, i agree it was unrealistic (from what we know of these 2 characters since season 1) but it was still a fun moment. Fet has irritated me for a while now and it was just satisfying albeit unrealistic to see him get knocked down a peg.

But Ialways felt that Fet was always down a notch by default. He hasn't had the best luck. But Eph is the one that seems to act like he's above it all. I've loved both actors for some time now so it was a cute scene overall. Lol
yeah, i too really like both actors. Eph seasons 1 & 2 (most of both seasons) was a total dickbag but he's actually become more likable IMO in season 3. Corey Stoll is so likable and sexy/hot that i can't fully hate Eph! lol.

But I don't hate Eph he just annoys me, even in this season. I mean, he stole the book that would save mankind, putting every human life in danger and knowing that, yet he gets indignant about Fet getting a lot of cops killed. Fet had no way of knowing what was going to happen and he was sincerely trying to defeat the enemy. Eph is such a b!tch. Lol
Yeah it was unrealistic. As mentioned from the standpoint of the characters - one spends his time doing a nearly manual labor job, the other sits in front of a microscope and a computer all day for a living. Trust me, molecular medical science is not all that physically active of a field, especially in epidemiology. It's study and analysis of samples all. Day. Long.
But then we have the size difference Stoll is a tall guy, around 6'2. Durand is really tall, around 6'6". That's a very significant difference because humans on average increase weight volumetrically in three dimensions. I'm not sure if Durand is as built in this as earlier stuff like Smokin Aces but he probably outweighs Stoll by like fifty pounds.

Exactly. They're different type of people with different skill sets. But the other thing is when men who know each other get hot-headed and fight spontaneously,they usually grapple. They don't punch, step back, and wait for the other guy to get up and walk over and punch him back. Lol
