Im not really sure what was up with Dutch, because i doubt that, as another poster suggested, that younger people can hear higher pitches, while that statement itself is true, but i dont think it applies to the show, because the show did not put in an audible high pitch sound in the scene either to explain it to us, certainly not to the degree where Eph was perfectly fine but Dutch was almost fainting.
There must be a backstory to it, not that i care, but surely there has to be.
