that first nuke (killed Ancients) was tamer than the finale nuke?

weren't they both the same type/yield nukes? why did the one in tonight's finale seem super-sized and the nuke detonated (killing the Ancients) only knocked down 1 or 2 city blocks (which no one bothered to mention or even felt/knew about in the following ep...such bad writing on this show! LOL).

the one that killed the ancients detonated underground so the fallout & blast would be less

The placement of the second nuke was very odd as well. But yes, as the guy above me already pointed out the first nuke was underground it makes a huge difference just watch the old videos where they blew up nukes under water.
