The storyline doesn't make sense now....spoilers

So detonating a nuke over the ocean near the city brings about....dark skies indefinitely? What about the rest of the planet?
In the books they made strategically placed nuclear reactors meltdown, bringing about 22 hours of darkness worldwide and the strigoi set up the blood factories and took over.
However, in this storyline, NYC may be screwed for some time but the rest of the world is still going. So....how are they going to end this in 1 more season?

Nothing makes sense about it, like why Zach doesn't give a sh*t about humanity for no reason.

You'd think after he got Nora killed, a woman who risked her life to protect him, he would be even more afraid about The Master and his vampire mother. But it apparently made him like them more.

They don't have the budget for the rest of the planet. There's only so much stock footage they can find.

It doesn't matter. The world cant stop him in the earlier episodes was mentioned that they are already fights in other cities across America. So basically the nukes detonating were just putting dot on new York as conquered and moving on. He didn't needed those nukes it just made stuff happen more faster. In books it was very simple but normaly it would be hard to get even one nuke.
