potential new Season 4 characters

No, not any news I'm aware of or reporting, so sorry if that's what you were thinking.

Just my own speculation.

What I'm getting at is I wonder if there will be any new ones. Or, I guess it's more likely there will be than won't be, but I wonder what they'll be like. In terms of importance. Season 3 killed off a few, and if they follow the book (minor spoiler: there should be a year time jump), it wouldn't feel like the time to introduce a new major character. There really weren't any in the books I can recall, and it'd feel pointless in the last ten episodes. It feels like they just cleaned house a little bit, let it stay that way. Final season will need more of them to die as is.

In the final book there was only one new character brought in, unless you count the couple at the diner just before the climax, and that's a guy called Creme who's an adversary of Gus from a rival gang.
I'm assuming Dutch will be the replacement for Norah seeing as she isn't in the books and Norah doesn't get killed unlike in the show so she'll get her storyline with a couple of adjustments.

The one thing that did surprise me with the season three finale is that Sertrakian is still alive as that's a pretty big death in the second book and is the catalyst for one of the major threads in the final one. I would have thought finishing the season on him getting killed when the bomb went off would have been prime for a season ender.

The one hope I have for the fourth and final season is that if they do the year long time jump they give Gus and Fet the university headquarters with the tunnels because the big fight that happens there is probably my favourite part of the books.
