think I know how to kill the master

soo basically they need the book in order to kill the master

the ancients already know about the red worm and never tell anyone because reasons? (very clear you kill the worm to kill the master)

they watch the red worm escape and not think lets squish it shoot at/stab it etc.

the book tells them to lock the master away forever in a silver lead coffin because vamps are unkillable? (but the worm? the worm!)

the master is able to kill and wipe out 3 ancients in a heartbeat with a nuke never having even looked at the book........

I think I know how to kill the master without the book, it involves a B2 a cargo bay full of nukes and the place roughly where the master is residing....

tldr why have they not evacuated all none infected people and hit the place from orbit?

that gives the master a chance to escape? its an apocalypse and that place is the core why not just wipe it off the map anyway assume anyone still at the core is dead / will be soon ?

They never told anyone about the worm probably because it would reveal how to kill them. That makes sense.

What didn't make sense is why it took Setrakian so long to mention the red worm at all. I understand in the heat of battle he sees the worm and isn't sure what he saw, but why not say to Fet, "Hey I just saw this, it went down that drain, maybe we should go look for it."

One of my big pet peeves since that episode.

I'm wondering if maybe the ancients are alive in worm form now too.

You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.

Hey, I see a red worm, let me cut it with my big-ass cane-sword as I stumble around.

According to the books and comics, there is only one way to kill the Master as well as the Anicents, though the TV series may not follow the same rules.

You are partially right with the nuke approach, but where you place the nuke is the key to everything. Read with warning, though this may not be true with the TV series.

In the book and comic book universe, to kill the master, you have to nuke the site where the master orinigated from aka his birth/origin place. Same is true for the Anicents. In books the anicents just turned into dust in front of our hereos, becuase the master had destroyed his origin spot.

Oh that would have been awesome!

This was one of the problems w/the book, as well, TBH. It's an ancient book, w/this incredible secret. . .but completely unusable till modern times. Sigh.

Trashing the show is fun. . .my favorite show to MST3K, actually. . .but the books are just as bad.

"Personally I hope they make all the gods black and change it from Valhalla to Valholla!"

Put the red worm in a blender?

they watch the red worm escape and not think lets squish it shoot at/stab it etc.

This was the worst scene in the whole show! I love the show but really? Just let the worm that is VERY distinct crawl into the sewer? Beyond dumb ):

Spray it with Lysol and light it on fire.

Id have captured the big worm and put it in an oven at 180c for about an hour. I imagine it would taste incredible and be packed full of goodness. As for the ancients I'd just probably bum them.

We know that there is a telepathic link between Striggoi and the Master. Isn't it fair to assume that the Ancients have that ability as well?

Now, considering that the Striggoi are basically collective beings, couldn't a master transfer his "consciousness" into a simple Striggoi under his control? From this, the white worms could turn into red ones similar to how harmless grasshoppers transform into swarming locusts.

Other than that, the master would be somewhat easy to kill with modern means of warfare actually. Direct bomb hit, nukes, napalm, chemical attack etc. no need for a fancy silver coffin.

enough exposition to the sun and he's dead

The book is the key to defeating the master - so cut the hosts head off then beat the red worm to death with a big heavy silver book - simple ! :P

Indeed. Reminds me of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6ctb-Pb3lc

I think the red worm has to enter a body to have his full power. We saw the striggoi just running around randomly for about a day after they took his head off, right? Prob took him that long to wiggle into another body. Seems he couldn't talk to them until he got a body.

I've never read the books so I have no idea where the story is going.

THE MASTER IS A MASTER WORM!! just PUT SEA SALT on him he will wiggle like a Latino dancing salsa!

LOL!

reply

Uh. I know exactly how to kill the master.

Fire the writers. It really is that simple.
