The writers are just messing with us at this point ...

I thought the show was maybe forgettably amusing at first but then something happened, and that was the writers began actively trolling the shows fans and even passive watchers. It's quite unique. It became obvious when they had Zach cuddle up with that nasty worm spitting velocimunchkin thing, while at the same time the "heroes" completely bungled or implemented a fully backfiring plan with the Central Park fiasco. The first time they cornered the Master and he inexplicably escaped, I rolled my eyes at the crap storytelling. But by the tenth time they do this, I mean, what the *beep*? What are they even trying to do? Waste my time and revel in it? Maybe next time they'll get a little bit further, until finally in season 77 the master finally dies? WTF?

We got to see the master vomit directly into Eldritch Palmer's face

We got to see Setrakian smacked down helplessly every time he got up

We get to see Eph come to grips that his son prefers the company of literal concentration camp running undead, bloodsucking Nazis to - his father.

We got to see Eichorst come back to life, because no effing way did anyone really hurt him. I mean seriously? Did ANYONE doubt Eichhorst coming right back into the story?

We got to see the child "struggle with his dual human/strigoi parentage and his loyalties" Oh F. you. F. you a million times. I mean people are stupid, but this is just too much.

Ideally, when out to eat at a restaurant, one doesn't notice the waiter much. But when the waiter, instead of serving your food to you, instead childishly pulls it away from you just as you go to taste it, laughs uncontrollably and just keeps doing that, you notice the waiter, his name, etc. and possibly kick his ass.

Did you not like seeing the master vomit directly into Eldritch Palmer's face?

I liked all those things, except the middle finger that was the open coffin at the end. PA LEASE.

Panik65, LOVED your waiter analogy. Yeah, the writers on this show...wow. Who at Fox/FX are they sleeping with to not get fired? I will admit I liked this season better than the last, but this "let's confront The Master, only to let him slip away by some convoluted last minute event every season's end" nonsense has got to stop.

Mercifully, this series will end at Season 4.
