I just started season 2 episode 1 and I can't wait to get to season 3. I thought the kid would be annoying but damn, I didn't think he'd get all this hate. I haven't spoiled myself much (other than he sets off a nuke. How the *beep* a kid do that?) but I can't wait to see it now.
Not trying to be an ass, but I hoping you're not expecting spoiler-free responses, because this kid is a doozy and he has multiple seasons to justify the hate. My god, I have never hated a child character so much in my life! The breaking point to where I will feel pleasure when he's killed off developed this season. He wants his mama, then he gets his mama, but wants his damn daddy back. He finally gets his damn daddy and mama tries to kill said daddy; thus, daddy defends himself against mama. He screams "I hate you," and destroys the damn world. Wait until you get to the mess he causes for Nora! That child is truly the antichrist or some *beep*.
ETA: He murdered, yes murdered an innocent man who was only looking to help his little a$$...that royally pissed me off! The man made it known that he was a father and had a son, yet this little demon had him killed. Omg let me get out of here before my blood starts boiling.
He gets WORSE. He is truly vile! Like some others have said before, the master is less evil than Zach. At least the master has a vision for his hateful doings; Zach is evil just to be evil. As you progress further into the show, just looking at the character on screen will be annoying as all get out.
I can take evil. Evil is not the problem. Joffrey game of thrones was a pleasure to watch - he was sadistic insecure scumbag and he behaved like one and it was logical and it was all good.
Watching Zak doing his cracy stuff is inciting anger in me because he doesn't see the monsters as monsters, while he saw his vampiremother Kelly eat Eph's girlfriend after the train accident, which he created with his 'stooooop', then went with her, he saw vampiremother eat a boy, he saw Kelly trying to eat Eph himself fighting for his life. Then, well you know what happened. And he likes strange weird monster more than his dad. AAaaaaaaaaaaaargh
"I know how you feel, i also can't stand The Omen antichrist kid. "
That's the thing that pisses me off the most. In the books, he's written to be more or less just entranced and brainwashed by the master, groomed to be his next vessel. He's a victim of power manipulation.
Here he's written to be just a Omen wannabe. There was a global event involving a lot of people in the end of this book. His son was not responsible for the fall out in the books, did not lead to Nora's death, ect.
Del Toro has himself stated he doesn't like all the differences. But it's not up to him. They murdered the source material.
He was a cheesy bother in S1. Over the course of S2 he became seriously grating, but the S2 finale is where your utter hatred will crystallize. Then it just gets nuts.
