For all the people that say Fox gives their shows a fair shot, let's compare these two shows. Both had ratings that could have been way better. Both shows were gearing up but hadn't hit their true potential yet. Critical review for Almost Human was better than Agents (which generated a lot of hate early on), yet Agents is renewed because ABC had faith the show would grow. And it has in its final run of HYDRA episodes post Winter Soldier. Don't tell me it was because of Whedon Agents got renewed, Abrams was the backer behind Almost Human and he carries as much clout.

Anyway, short run out-of-order episodes on an overwhelming competition night isn't supporting a show. Fox gave it a do or die ultimatum, then axed it for more shows they will probably also axe after one season too.

Please put this show on another network that believes in supporting its series.

AlexDuran, I totally agree with you. Don't really know what FOX is looking for except a very young demographic But I don't hold out much optimism for any of the shows that will replace Almost Human. Only one that looks like it might get some traction is Gotham, but it better get great ratings right out of the shoot and keep them because FOX has very little patience. I'm not interested in any of the new shows on FOX.

Really surprised FOX cancelled Surviving Jack. But it is FOX after all.

Man, ABC should have gotten Almost Human. It probably would have been granted a second season at least. Imagine it running before or after Agents. That would have been a great night.

Fox should have really sexed the show up. Minka Kelly isn't known for her acting prowess. She's smoking hot. Show her off, make her the "fan service" girl.

I'm not really liking any of the new shows, nor do I think they will stick. Makes cancelling AH look even worse because they have a good fanbase.

I have a feeling Gotham underwhelms.

It's unfair to compare these shows, almost human is/was an expensive show supported by a network... nothing new about that, and I bet the main actors were very well paid,but shield is supported by Disney and IMO disney would always bring a second season because:

a) if the show ended after just the first season it would be official that the show wasn't sucessful

b) disney's budget is gigantic, they don't bother that much with instant profit because

c) the show is a constant reminder of the MCU

also I think marvel/disney is about to come up with 3 or 4 new shows all based in the marvel universe, so you know they mean business... and let's face it... unlike most networks disney can keep this show in the air for years even if no one's watching...

I'm really glad shield got renewed. The first seven episodes where so so but after that the show really took off it went from ok to great. But I am really sad about almost human I'm very shocked it didn't get picked up it was awesome from start to finish. They could of at least made a 22 episode season. Wtf

yeah...that shield show sucks too. which is a real shame. other than "fitzsimmons" that show is utterly charmless. the lead girl is one of the worst television characters of all time.
