True Detective with Girl-Power?

Does anyone else notice the tie-ins to True Detective Season 1? Same southern town, mysterious child abductor/killer/ghostly legend, small children telling big lies that no one believes, big lies with a tinge of truth, alcoholic buddy investigators/detectives, psychologically unbalanced buddy investigators/detectives, gruesome violence, external idiots getting in the way, whole town against the truth, lots of white trash....

Biggest difference is the sex (gender?) of Amy Adams's character: Female. BTW-- I think Grandma is the killer, I'm calling it now. Either her or the alcoholic friend who seems to serve no real purpose.

Also, the difference is that True Detective was actually not bad ;)

Of course, but I was trying to be positive. But hey, its Amy Adams so it'll probably win some awards or something. I liked her better in Talladega Nights.
