THE HYPE IS REAL.

Don't get me wrong this isn't a 10/10 masterpiece that future generations will rant and rave about but it is a very well executed indie horror flick.

The production values are decent, the acting is pretty good given I've no idea who the fuck any of these actors are, the concept is interesting and fairly unique but above all the tension and scares are well done. I'm a seasoned horror fan but two or three scenes in this sent chills down my spine.

This is the best horror movie I've seen this year (I've yet to watch Longlegs & Alien: Romulus) and it would make my top 5 for the 2020s.

If you're a horror fan give this movie a chance.

It was a solid film. As you say, not quite a 10/10 but definitely worth a watch if the horror genre is your thing. Maybe even if it's not typically your thing . . .

Longlegs was no match for this. Lets see if Alien: Romulus, Smile 2 or Nosferatu can take the crown for the year from this (or maybe another unforeseen gem).

I see myself rewatching Oddity less than Smile, Prey, Evil Dead Rise & The Night House. Which is probably a mark against it. Hard to rank movies when they offer different experiences.
