Am I the only one who thought the cops were a bit too convinced by the blood on the bumper of a car without a dent or scratch?! I understand the blood itself seemed to be very, very incriminating and it's not unbelievable that they'd arrest her due to the evidence. My problem is their lack of concern or curiosity to the inconsistencies with the accident and the undamaged vehicle they suspect is the one used in the crime. I would have hoped it was something an investigating officer would have mentioned but they didn't even think twice before concluding that was the car from the crime.

the cops can also take the blood for the dead person or traces of the car on the body and match it with the car who hit him. Obviously, there would be NO trace evidence from his girlfriend's vehicle.

No way would have Danny's body have been intact if that little car had run over him. Those plastic bumpers pieces would not have stayed unbroken and the height of the car would have scrapped up his body with the undercarriage. He'd have been shredded and there would be blood and pieces of him under the car.

Something else that bothered me was that they already had DNA that same day. I mean, I know it's a movie, but DNA takes MONTHS to come back. I would even be willing to go omg with it if they waited a few days but it was less than 24 hours and BAM they have already tested it.

Months for unimportant thing. This was a murder case. Granted, within a few hours is probably not likely but a day or two at most.

Nope. I worked at a crime lab. The procedure itself takes more than a few hours though depending on what evidence you're looking for (for example human blood versus animal blood, matching blood samples, etc).

The cops seemed to just want to charge someone ASAP and Jamie's friend talking to the cops didn't help things.

Y'know, I could eat a peach for hours
