I'm sorry if someone already posted this.... but the movie is suposed to start in the year 33 AD.... then Ben-Hur has to work 5 years long as a slave, then he comes back to Jerusalem and sees Jesus die.... at this point Jesus would be 38 years old, while we know that he as only 33 years old at his dead.

I think the movie begins at the beginning of the chariot games in 33 AD, and then goes flashback to past events.
