Dismas, on the roof, with the bow and arrow

I couldn't get past the idea that Dismas could be running through the house full of people - servants, family, visitors, with a bow and arrow without raising an alarm.

The guy who is killed is an aquilifer. It's an important and honored rank of the Roman Army. He carries the Legion's standard. It is inconceivable that the Romans would not execute (and even crucify the men) the entire household in reprisal for that if not for the attempt on Pilate as well.

He didn't take the blame for the twit. He took the blame in hopes they would free his family, as they weren't going to settle for an escaped twit that they had obviously been harboring.
