The casting of Adam Scott would make more sense if Kaplan was playing his wife. They had great chemistry in Party Down.

umm, You do know she is John's character's wife right. If John isn't in the movie, why would she be?

Ummmmm, at the time of posting this it was rumored Adam Scott was playing Cusaks part. It would've made sense to have Lizzy still play his wife b/c of their great chemistry in the show 'Party Down'

No, there was never a time that Adam Scott was rumored to be playing Cusak's role. From the time of his first casting it was said that he would be Adam's son.

Besides, the relationship between Lizzy and Scott was by far the worst thing about Party Down. That relationship was so damn annoying, especially her character.
