Julie Plec teased about Kol and Rebekah Mikaelson in The Originals. “Rebekah, like her siblings, has gotten caught up into the unified family takedown and spent five years in an alternate reality and is now back once again with that same choice she always has: What is my life supposed to be outside this crazy family. Kol, interestingly enough, is asking himself those same questions. The two of them are going to bond in a way that we haven’t gotten to see so much about what their future is in this family and how much of this crazy they’re expected to live through.”
Hi everyone :).
Thanks for the post. It has been a while since we got any spoilers.
SO this is interesting. I am really happy that Rebekah and Kol are thinking of their life outside their family. I can see Kol ditching his family but Rebekah always comes back. I want her to leave this time and stay out for a while. Live her life the way she wants to and stop blaming KLaus and her crazy family for screwing her life. SHe needs to grow up and take responsibility of her own actions that led to her happiness or sorrows. It will also help the writers finally writing off Rebekah's character. But now that Aquarius is cancelled, I wonder if she now thinks TO is good enough for coming back full time or not?
Freya (Riley Voelkel), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), Rebekah (Claire Holt), and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will still be on the dreamscape. With nowhere to go and nothing to do but wait, everyone will have done a lot of thinking.
Bold part is very interesting. I wonder what did Freya and Elijah think about during these five years. I get what Rebekah and Kol thought about from Jp's quote but what did they think about?
On Instagram, Joseph Morgan teased that strange alliances will be formed, enemies will turn into friends, friends will transform into enemies, and there will be a lot of betrayal. He also teased that someone will get staked.
Very interesting. IIRC almost exactly the same sentences were said by JOMO before season 3 started but as the show went on it all fell flat.
Anyway lets discuss this years projections. So I take that the relationships JOMO is teasing about are among the Mikealson family members which include Marcel and Hayley. Enemies turning to friends is obviously about Klaus and Marcel after a few bumps on the road. My question is does it apply to Elijah and Marcel too? That will be really mind boggling if that happens and forced since Elijah killed Marcel and he got Davina killed too. There should be no way in hell Marcel should forgive Elijah. And if Elijah and Marcel don't reconcile who will KLaus side with? Can he be friends with both of them at the same time coz we know that he will eventually become friends with Marcel? Which brings me to other part of equation that is, friends will transform into enemies. Who does that apply to? Klaus and Elijah? Can it be Marcel and Elijah? Were they really ever friends? What about Hayley and Marcel? They were friends but obviously Hayley will side with Elijah so... If she sides with Elijah and not with Marcel how will that affect her relationship with Klaus or for that matter how will that affect Elijah's relationship with Klaus? Strange alliances is between Klaus and Marcel? I remember Jp talking about Klaus giving advice to the self appointed king aka Marcel.
And who will get daggered again? It will be either Kol or Rebekah since there are hints about them bonding and there are hints about betrayal. From the past experiences I have seen Rebekah blaming Klaus for everything wrong happening in her life. Now that she has lost another five years I wonder if she will go on the broken record again. Can that be classified as betrayal? What if Kol does the same thing?
Could be Elijah who is daggered. It could be Klaus does it to take the revenge for killing Marcel and starting the chain reaction of events that led him to lose five years of his daughter's life along with the torturous five years being daggered and be a puppeteer in Marcel's hands. It could be Marcel who does it for killing him. I can see the writers doing that to show that Marcel was avenged by that. Obviously it will not last long. They can kill many birds with one shot. Marcel will be avenged hence the public who is unhappy at what he did to Marcel and Davina will be satisfied AND as usual Elijah will walk away with not much suffering AND showing us that Klaus and Marcel are vindictive bastards once again while poor Elijah suffered even though he did what was best for the family.
Cannot be Freya since she is a witch and can die if daggered. Right?
Klaus will be planning revenge. It isn’t a matter of if it will happen, but when. He will not act hastily and will instead take his time waiting for the perfect opportunity.
Damn it.. Not that revenge plot again!!!!! But yeah it does make sense for him to plot it considering what went down but his target shouldnt be just Marcel then.

There's not many people left for the "enemies turn into friends; friends turn into enemies" plot. I believe they're talking about Vincent and (sigh) Josh. Currently, they're friends with Marcel, but after 5 years, maybe they don't like how Marcel's changed or like how he's doing things. I'm 99% positive it'll be Vincent who frees Klaus because Vincent will turn against Marcel. Maybe Josh is forced to face some unpleasant truths about Marcel as well and teams up with Kol in remembrance of "what Davina would have *really* wanted."

I completely forgot them esp Josh. LOL. Josh yes but Vincent and Marcel are already at opposite sides on spectrum if I recall correctly from last episodes.

Interesting theory. yeah I can see that happening BUT isn't Vincent against Mikealsons too? I think it will be Marcel himself coz of that new threat.

and same thing happened last year too so in other words nothing new happening this year
How are you btw? Long time.

I haven't watched S3 at all (nor do I plan to), so I don't know exactly (word-for-word or look-for-look) what happened and I don't have any context. I'm just going by what I've read here and a few other places. From what I understand, as the season ended, Vincent was already having doubts about Marcel having all that power and/or Vincent was upset that Marcel took the serum, but they weren't enemies at that point.
yeah I can see that happening BUT isn't Vincent against Mikealsons too?
Yes, but I think he's going to realize that Marcel isn't any better.
I think it will be Marcel himself coz of that new threat.
I heard that Marcel is going to keep Klaus locked up, but will consult with him about the new threat. I don't think Marcel has any intention of letting Klaus go - and that's what's going to piss Klaus off and have him quietly plotting against Marcel. I think Vincent is going to be well aware of what Marcel has been up to these past 5 years and see that Marcel's methods aren't any better than the Mikaelsons. Marcel is going to mess up or do something that proves to Vincent that he's (Marcel) is out of control and it'll be Vincent who frees Klaus.
TBH, from what I'm hearing, it sounds like Klaus is going to be playing a long con this season. I think (desperately hope) that in the end, he'll destroy Marcel.
I don't see Freya or Elijah forgiving Marcel at all.
Rebekah and Kol are wildcards - I don't see them forgiving Marcel, but they may be less militant about it.
I don't see Hayley forgiving Marcel either.
For the Mikaelsons and Hayley, it's all about family and this family has been torn apart by Marcel - I think they're going to be pissed and in a very unforgiving mood. One can argue that Marcel was right to do what he did, but it doesn't change the fact that they're still going to be mad as hell.
Oh - I also heard Mary (Jackson's grandmother) will be around (hell, someone has to take care of Hope while Hayley is off saving the Mikaelsons ), so she turns into a friend of the Mikaelsons.
And it could be that some of the new friends Hayley makes on her journey in the beginning of the season, turn into enemies later on in the season.

Elijah actually killed Marcel, I dont think him forgiving them at all too. So is Klaus sandwich between them? Because from what I am hearing Klaus and Marcel will patch up after some time.

Hmm.. maybe. I never liked her.

No, he will not destroy Marcel but yeah it seems he is planning a con. Old story. I am tired of this revenge story.

Klaus may not 'destroy' Marcel as in kill him, but I can see Klaus working to depower him.
I just can't see the Mikaelsons, Hayley, and Marcel forgive and forget and living happily ever after.
I can't see any of the Mikaelsons being okay with Marcel (or anyone) not only being more powerful, but more importantly, being able to kill them anytime he pleases.
Then again, I "just couldn't see" the actual direction the show took way back when, so...
Elijah actually killed Marcel, I dont think him forgiving them at all too.
I agree; I don't think Marcel will forgive Elijah either.
So is Klaus sandwich between them?
A-hem. Let me get my mind out of the gutter...
Because from what I am hearing Klaus and Marcel will patch up after some time.
I think if we see Klaus making up with Marcel, it'll be part of his plan (long con).

I agree, any forgiveness or reconciliation is unbelievable, but I fear that's the direction they are going with the writers further pushing Marcel as the hero. And Rebekah and Kol leaving because they no longer want to be part of their pact. I say, if they wanted to destroy the Mikaelsons they should have done it on tvd.
