How about some scoop on Hope? “This is a girl who has no real memories of her father, so we’ll be able to see what Hayley has done, if anything, to keep her aware of her father, who he is, and what the truth is about her life,” EP Julie Plec tells me. “We’ll see a young girl and see where she is with her own abilities. We’ll get to see father and daughter eventually reunited, two strangers coming together with so much in common. There’s some really special moments between them.”

so she is more like KLaus than we thought. Klaus is by nature sweet, the circumstances made him who he is now (secretive, an understandable paranoid, understandably not trusting anyone) so I am guessing that is what JP is mentioning and not what he has become now because if that is the case then Hope is next obnoxious Conor I guess.

Interesting. What will she tell her about her father, I wonder? Obviously she will not turn her against Klaus or tell his shortcomings in the way that Hope starts to hate her father. She will probably tell him all the good stuff leaving out the bad stuff like all the daggerings and the cursing etc.

There’s some really special moments between them

Finally.. We have been waiting for them for the past two years.

The tiny sneak peek they had of Hayley and a yet to be cast Hope makes me think that there will be more peril of a fantasy version of Klaus- I think Julie's trying really hard not to spoil the fact that Hayley has probably only told her the good things and that will leave Hope vulnerable to their enemies.

Finally.. We have been waiting for them for the past two years.

It's the perils of baby/toddler casting which is why they probably seized on the opportunity to age Hope up. Blake and Charlie are adorable but they were very fussy last year.

I think Julie's trying really hard not to spoil the fact that Hayley has probably only told her the good things and that will leave Hope vulnerable to their enemies.

There are only two options.
1) Either she told her the truth as it was. Mikael was mean to him, made him cynical, paranoid and hence today's klaus with a lot of enemies.
2) Does not tell her anything.

I am going with 1 excluding the bad incidences between her and him like the kidnapping, cursing, daggering of his siblings.I think she will protect Klaus's and Hope's relationship as much as she can since she wanted that. She wanted Hope to have a loving family which is really what almost all parents want. But I think KLaus and Hope will later talk about his past and his bad choices. But yeah I did get the feeling from that interview that she has not told Hope a lot about her father.
She will not be wise if she does not prepare Hope in advance who is btw a powerful witch albeit still wearing her bracelet about Klaus and Mikaelson enemies since she has lost two dear people to them even though it was their own fault to get into this mess.

Not to mention that they have to bring forward the reason for which this show was originated. It was never meant to be a love story. It was Klaus redemption story to become a better person for someone who needed that. Hope needs a good person as a role model in her life.

aww so much cheesiness and b u l l s h i t can't wait
so now they promote this father-daughter relationship cause they have nothing else. They killed great characters and great love stories and now that's all they have. How fascinating 

I think I understand how you feel but this was never meant to be a love story. Hope and Klaus was a relationship on which this show was based on and it is about time they explored it. I am pretty sure we will not get that much of that too but it makes sense to give us what was promised to us. Hope was always going to be the reason for his "redemption". Right now she is one of the fourth main character.

I think Cami/Klaus story was meant to serve a purpose and as per the show writers they did that despite me not being fully convinced yet. I am surprised that you don't find that unfinished love story romantic as well as tragic.

 We've seen the softer side of Klaus on several occasions like with Caro and Cami. Hope will change him for the better.

Hope is the reason he WANTS to embrace his old human self back. Of course it has always been there (as per Rebekah he was the kindest and most loving person when human) but he was wary of showing it but Cami forced him to accept it for Hope's sake. He did have a few tender moments with Caroline but that was because HE wanted to impress her. Did he manage to do ? Nope. At least not yet. She still hasnt fallen for him. Until now there was no strong enough reason (despite what KH, KC or KC2 shippers think) for him to embrace his old human self but now (since Hope) he has that. It is about time we get to see if he is there or what he will go through to get there. Cami is gone, there is no one sending him on guilt trip to keep him in line (as per the writers). It is all up to him now. It will be hard journey for him, lets see how he takes it.

This is probably the only reason I'll still be tuning into the Originals next season. So glad that they aged Hope up. :)

Quick question, now we all assume that this little girl will be very powerful from the hints the producers share with us right. She's hybrid and a 1/4 of a witch so how much should we make of her powers.

she is not just 1/4 of the witch. She is Esther's granddaughter and in her family the first born is the greatest and the most powerful witch. Hope is the first born in Mikaelson family line which includes Esther's bloodline too. Not to mention that she is a hybrid not just from any two werewolf lines but from two original werewolf clans. Saying that I think her witch powers will be more focused right now than her hybrid powers which probably will come into play when she dies or trigger her gene somehow.

If we go anything by Dahlia power then I think we are in for a treat. I am excluding Freya because somehow I think she has not tapped on to full extend of her powers.

Hopefully they don't ignore how her power poses a threat to herself and that she would need a witch to to properly train her, as they seemed to have glossed over that the second Dahlia died. Freya lost her cool while being trained and nearly killed herself. Hope being part wolf increases the likelihood of losing control and having no proper teacher also increases the likelihood of it happening sooner, unless they have found something that suppresses her magic, like the chain Davina enchanted to do just that.
