When the show left off Marcel had turned into a user hybrid with a deadly bite that could kill an original. He had all the originals dagger and Klaus bricked up inside a wall. What do you think will happen to Marcel once Klaus is free? What do you think "Should" happen to him? Keep in mind that this is like the 5th time Marcel had tried to kill/betray an original.

How many times did he go against Klaus by now? 4? It is time to pay for that. My preference would be something unique, like Ester's death. Hope should turn him into something.

shareWould love to see Marcel lose all his power - like, he somehow becomes human again. That would be a true punishment for him. It's been clear to me from the beginning that all he cares about is power and that he saw TO not as family, but as a stepping stone. But, I expect they'll do something corny instead which involves Klaus accepting that his "son" is more powerful than he is. ? or worse (?), that Marcel dies protecting Hope or someone else, keeping in line with the "good guy" image they desperately want us to believe. *sigh* ...

Klaus is the epitome of paranoid and having someone who is capable of killing his siblings as well as himself at any moment will never sit well with Klaus especially considering how fickle Marcel's loyalty can be when it comes to the Mikaelsons. After spending five years away from Hope I can see Klaus allowing someone who could take him away from her permanently. While Klaus may have or possibly still does look at Marcel as a son, Hope is his flesh and blood and there isn't anything he wouldn't do to protect him for someone he sees as a threat to her and Marcel is a threat to the entire family. Either Marcel will have to be killed or their gonna have to find a way to neutralize his power. Although I feel like even turning him back to a non-original vampire wouldn't be enough to make Marcel no longer a threat to the Mikaelson family as he did a lot of stuff to the Mikaelson family as a regular vampire and that was before he had Davina's death fueling his hatred for the family. Which is why I feel like Marcel has to die as he would always be this wild card with the potential to do anything to Klaus and his family.

It would only make sense for Marcel to die. Klaus killed Esther, his mother, for her betrayal. He killed Ansel, the father he always wanted, for fear of his betrayal. Klaus and Rebekah are really the only Mikaelsons that ever loved Marcel like family. (Elijah was willing to kill him a few times). And Freya, who only wants to protect her siblings, should have no problem incapacitating Marcel.
But I doubt it will happen.
Marcel is not a threat to Rebekah or Hope, she'd be dead at the hands of the witches if he didn't save her. If he were a threat to her he would not have allowed Haley to take her and leave the city, he would have killed her too. Marcel had legitimate beef with Elijah, Kol and Freya and as far as Klaus, Marcel is behaving exactly the way Klaus raised him to behave. The way they can depower him at this point is for the ancestors to either come back and work with them as they no longer have a means to tap that power or for them to somehow find out Elena has the cure in her blood and then they would have to force him to drink her blood which is not likely because as of now he is more powerful than Klaus.

shareI don't think they will kill him. But they could incapacitate him, like Freya did Lucie, and bury him or dump him in the ocean. He has no ancestors backing him.
I'm curious as to how they are going to keep CMD on the show without him and TO trying to get rid of each other, and make it believable.
Vampire Diaries crossover, they drain the vampire-cure from Elena and get it into Marcel somehow. No longer a vampire and can't become one again

shareI totally agree. Marcel have betrayed them over and over again. I don't know why they haven't killed him a long time ago. I do not think Marcel ever care for them. He just use them to get what he wanted. Marcel use Klaus to turn him, then use Rebecca to bring Michael to New Orleans so he can get rid of Klaus and be the king of new Orleans.
I think it's time for the originals to put a nail in his coffins once and for all.
