I don't know. All I know is that I'm not bothering to watch either TVD or TO. TBH, I think this might be TO's last season.

shareNo I dont think so. I think the network just does not want to use two spots simultaneously for the vampire shows that are more or less same. Not all people see the depth in TO story line. On the surface they are both vampire shows revolving around families. Damon/Stefan, MIkealson.

So I get 29 episodes of my favorite vampires. Klaus & Co will get me over the loss of Stefan & Co.

What an awful date to premiere. This likely leaks it will be the last season. How many shows get picked up that are basically "summer shows?" If it's got the usual 23-25 episodes, it won't end until the fall season starts up again. People don't check out too many shows that premiere during late spring and summer months.
share^^ Its not getting the usual 22 episode pickup it will be a shorter season, the number I keep hearing is 13. I'd been guessing it would come back in March if they wanted to have its finale in May.
shareOk, I haven't heard of the season being cut in half until yesterday. That would be much better in this situation.
shareWhat super-van said.. they are only having 13 episodes but that does not necessarily means that this will be last season. TO can become a summer series although Friday is not really a good day for rating.
