I have been rewatching season one and she was such a great character, badass yet had a heart and was smart enough to not let herself get manipulated by anyone. Worked great with Klaus as well.
There was no need to kill her off!
I liked her, too, especially when she and Camille were fighting.

Her heart only went so far. Cassie might have come back as broken as the other Harvest girls but as long as she lived, a teenage girl stayed dead. Genevieve was then prepared to aid in the sacrifice of a newborn baby... Monique and Abigail were brainwashed by the Ancestors- to them, they were doing the right thing despite it being the furthest thing from. Genevieve knew what she was doing was wrong and did so anyway.
Great character but there was every need to kill her off.
