Why is this coming back in. March...!?

I dont know if it is a theory or how authentic this news is but I read an article yesterday, according to which TO season 4 is tied to TVD series finale and that is why it is starting in March. TVD ends, TO starts.
I am not sure about this though.

I think network does not want to "waste" two spots on same kind of shows (both are vampire shows losing rating) at the same time.

Be thankful it's earlier than iZombie which comes back on April 4 lol.
