Season 2- Ester/Finn/Kol Body Jump

Rewatching the show on DVD has brought up a few questions on things I hadn't thought about or noticed first few times I watched. This time it's the beginning of the second season with the return of Ester, Finn and Kol in their new bodies.

First off, Ester, Finn and Kol were all dead.

Ester comes back by body jumping into Cassie who was a harvest girl and was also dead. That's fine. Two dead witches and the more powerful witch, being Ester, took control of the other's body as Genevieve died and Cassie was resurrected as a result . This I can understand and follow.

Finn who was also dead, comes back by body jumping into Vincent. Vincent was quite clearly alive, as when Finn has been expelled from his body he has no idea why he is with Marcel, and demands to know what Marcel has done to him and is shocked to discover it is 6 months on from when he was in control of his own body (at this particular moment he doesn't realise what has happened of course).

Kol body jumped into Kaleb- not much known about the new body. So I can't comment on Kol's take over.

Kol however later explains to Cami about her body being prepared for Rebecca to jump into and how he has picked another body to spare Cami - and he explains how Cami and his new choice had been chosen due to being alone with no close friends/ relatives to question any personality changes etc. All good. Both
Rebecca and Cami are alive and one takes control of the others body. Again, I can follow the logic.

BUT- how the hell did dead Finn take control of alive Vincent's body? There was no-one to prepare Vincent for Finn's take over!

At first I thought the withes may have prepared Vincent off screen, but one of the conditions of Elijah making allies of the witches was their demanding the return of Vincent to them. They'd hardly have allowed Finn to jump into his body if they wanted Vincent and Vincent clearly didn't volunteer for it.

Have I missed some witchy explanation? Am I being blind and not seeing how this is possible?

Maybe this is one of those "The magic of television" type of answer.

There are not many details. Vincent was disillusioned with his Tremé coven, one of the worst, and lived on his own. This made it possible for Esther/Cassie to capture and use him as a vessel for Finn.

Maybe there was some kind of loophole to it. I stopped trying to understand the loopholes and such a long time ago, though and just started saying it is what it is.

I think this was discussed at that time too. Only Cami was given that special treatment of her body being prepared for Rebekah. No one else was. Personally I think it was all to give Cami a plot and make such a big deal of why her body is being used etc. But to give them the benefit of doubt it is entirely possible Cami's body was prepared because Esther wanted to use her as Rebekah permanently whereas she planned to bring back Kol and Finn in their original bodies.. Maybe. Does not make sense but there is no logical explanation for why that plot was brought on. There was no loophole. It was one of those unnecessary plots which ended nowhere except for showing how much KLaus had started to care for Cami so prop for KC2 basically.

As far as I understood, Kaleb and Vincent's, both of their bodies were taken without their permission.

I think Cami's body being prepared for rebekah was an excellent plot. That way Rebekah could have stayed on the show for longer time and that stupid storyline they started would have ended somewhere that made sense.
