to have photos leaked on the Internet. i can't help but wonder with all the
leaks in the past two weeks of HOT photos or videos of male celebs if
some of these leaks aren't done by the celeb himself. all these leaks
can't be from hackers.

Those leaks are not from hackers. Noone hacked into those celebrities accounts. They all got catfished. That's totally different. They sent those nudes willingly to someone they had never met personally.
Someone pretended to be a hot girl (probably with an instagram of hot model photos), contacted the guys via twitter, instagram or snapchat and the guys took the bait.
They started sexting with that person, sent that person nudes (mostly via Snapchat) and that person then leaked them.

celebrated Olympic medal winning diver Tom Daley. early last year
when he and boyfriend Dustin Lance Black were separated due to work

started a correspondence. Daley eventually sent this person a quite explicit
7min. video. why in God's name would Daley be that stupid?

He sure seems to promote it pretty hard. But why do you doubt that it's him because he says that he's a religious guy? The photos (yes, I'm guilty. I looked) show the same birthmarks, the same necklace than in some of his instagram posts, his body looks the same, the bedsheets are the same, his glasses are in one of the photos etc.
And Nate is also known for dating barely legal girls that are about 15 years younger than him. And that are only his official relationships.
Then we had that incident with that girl that busted him on twitter because he attacked her publicly, revealing private things about her without any reason (a French girl he had met at a convention and he had kept in contact with).
He's also known for flirting with young girls at conventions and there's a rumour that he got banned from the English convention because they got too many complaints about him from girls (who knows if that's true but he hasn't been invited back to this particular convention for years while he does any other convention he can get).
Being religious doesn't protect you from being horny and it certainly doesn't mean that you necessarily are the wholesome person that you play for the public (see his dating/flirting habits concerning young girls)

Kol doesn't have a thing for underage girls. Not a single one of the girls he was dating or flirting with were underage. Mary Alice was in her 20s, Meredith in her 30s, Davina was 17 when they met which is the legal age in Louisiana. She was 18 when they officially started dating and had their first kiss and 19 when she initiated the 1st and only time they slept together. Vampires dont age and Kol is physically no older than 18 as shown through the timeline.
And Nate doesn't have a thing for underage girls either. They were all over 18. My mom was 19 and dad 30 when they got married. The only problem with his relationship with Lorna is they didn't speak the samr language so it was mostly physical. But physical doesn't mean it was all sex. I heard rumors about him and that twitter girl, but all it is is rumors. I dont like Nate but I'm not going to believe something unless theres actual proof. And there is nothing more than some girl writing a tweet.

Unfortunately he deleted all the tweets from his attack on her before anyone could screencap them (although I'm sure that there must be some screenshots out there). But he definitely revealed private details about her father on his public twitter (people read it before he deleted his tweets). You can still see twitter responses from fans who tweeted at him, asking him why he was publicly attacking her although the girl hadn't tweeted at him or provoked him at all.
And yes, the official relationships Nate had were all legal(although I think he got to know Lorna when she was 17). But he has a pattern of dating young girls. After he broke up with Lorna he was flirting around with that 18 year old model on instagram.
And it seems that he's now dating Ruby Rose Carr who is 19 years old.
It's not like Lorna, the young French girlfriend who couldn't speak English, was the only young girlfriend he ever had. It seems to be a pattern. That's the problem.
Well I don't know much about Nate's personal life but in defense of the Kol character he is supposed to be about 17 or 18 I believe technically since he was that age when he turned so he really is around Davina's age.

Kol is my favorite character in the TVD/TO universe and while he does a great job playing him, Nate kind of does give the impression of being a bit of a toolbag.

Yeah, I have the same impression. I don't think that those nude leaks make him a douche because talking to someone on social media and sending someone nudes to flirt (someone you think also only wants to flirt) isn't necessarily douchy. It could happen to normal people as well.
But it's all the other things you hear about him if you look a bit closer that make him seem douchy. His pattern for really young girlfriends, his flirting with really young fans at conventions, him publicly attacking a girl on twitter and revealing private details about her, his behaviour during s2 and actively encouraging his fans to not accept the new actor (because if they're true fans of Nate it's bad to accept/admit that they also like the new Kol) etc.
He preaches Christianity on his social media but in a lot of situations he doesn't act very "Christian".
