The loss of communities like this on IMDb

Is the worst thing about the shutdown... I mean, sure, I can get the toxic nature of some boards like the soapbox/politics/perhaps GoT at times...

But boards with countless actors/movies/shows... Many with communities of their own, with more help for what shows are, good conversations than you can get at any other movie site.

Without the unique boards, this is just another movie information website. Places like wikia fan pages are not the same, at all.

This is a huge loss, and I don't think there is even another site out there that can take what this is doing, and replicate it anytime soon.

They should have just closed the toxic boards...

Found this, but it feels second rate:

But it is a site tailoring to both shows, and has sections for each, and at least a small group of people.

Maybe life is a dream and we wake up when we die?

Baby, bathwater.

Toxic? Pfft.. that's why there's an ignore function. If you "cant even" someone has a "toxic" opinion, put them on ignore.
