Most Korean TV shows...
That is, the Korean TV that are served up to me on Netflix outside of Korea—I'm no expert of the breadth of Korean TV— start with an interesting premise. Then, after a couple episodes, they are BORING. Maybe they need to make shorter series, that don't have time to suck? By the third or forth episode they lose direction, and it's all "Hey Mr. Park! Hey Ms. Kim! Here we are at the office agin wearing grey suits. OMG." I guess what I mean is that it is "one note" -- a constant dynamic range.
