cj was amazing

indeed.

Why was he the one charged with getting up every 20 years? That was so sad. Pilcher was the leader and the scientist of all this. He should have awoken a few times too to make sure everything was going according to plan. What a terrible leader. Wayward Pines has nothing but sad leaders. They're hopeless.

I kept wondering, if he was perhaps alternating with someone, that wasn't shown. A couple of times, it seemed as if the chess board pieces were moved and we hadn't been shown CJ moving them.

It wasn't until the conversation with Pilcher, that I became convinced (fairly) that it had only been CJ.

However, it is an avenue that could be explored. Just because we weren't shown anyone else waking up, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I also wondered, why, when Pilcher saw the Abbie, why the planning crew didn't go back to sleep.

Once again, another thread that could be picked up and explained.

Maybe Pilcher was waking up during the long years and knew exactly what would be found. That he felt the Abbie's would be a way to cohese the survivors, the ones who were in particular, even though it worked well we the true believers, as well.

It gave all of them a common enemy, no matter their own differences, survival has to come first.

Also, it's possible he underestimated the Abbie's, their numbers ... he certainly didn't account for their intelligence or did he?

I guess this is why I find the program so interesting, a very good job of world building and giving you just enough for the story to make sense, but not so much that your own imaginings are stamped out.

At one point I thought so too, especially with the chess game - in one scene he looked rather surprized and kind of desperate, but then again, maybe he forgot what his previous move had been.

I'm pretty sure he was the only one because of the chalkboard numbers and his penny's in the dish.

Djimon is possible the most solid actor in this series. This episode proves it.

Right, he was seriously slumming in this show. He really deserves better.
