I've held of commenting until the season was over. Just watched the finale and I agree.

Half that season there were Abbies gathering outside the wall. Hinting at some big finale... and that's what we got? I could over look the mistakes earlier in the season for a good ending, but not that piece of *beep* we were given. You temped us with steak and served tofu.

Season 3 ain't happening. The ratings for S2 were cut in half from S1.

Please explain to me how S2 is an improvement on "every" level to season 1?

Because it is literally not true. Season 2 was a mess. The whole story was probably written on a single weekend while Shyamalan was high as *beep* on cocaine.

he said "Blake came up with the story" and "...if he had finished
writing the books, this is what he would have written." .

Please explain to me how S2 is an improvement on "every" level to season 1?

-The overall story arc moved from that conventional mishmash of sci-fi mystery tropes we have seen already with The Village, The Prisoner, Buffy, Cabin In The Woods, Twin Peaks, X Files etc etc, to a more original (albeit a little superficial) examination of societal constructs and expectations.

-The performances were better, especially the lead.

-The cinematography is amazing. Everything from color grading to the framing of scenes looks cinematic, and not like a regular TV show.

The only thing I hated was the killing off of 90% of the first season leads, but at least it gave the show a 'no one is safe' feel.

I have to agree. The second season totally lacked the mystery and suspense that made the first so fresh, gripping, and unpredictable. I have zero interest in seeing a third, as most of this seasons characters, with the exceptions of C.J. and Kerry, were boring and two dimensional.

Watch the movie Air. The episode was pretty much a condensed version of the movie (which has DH in it!)
