I'm watching Season 2 and ... not only does an Abby get outwrestled by a dude and choked out, but a hermit has been living outside and picking then off with a knife?

Doesn't this contradict the info we are given in Season 1 about their strength and durability?

and she can jump on rooftops but they cant climb the mountains.
