I have honestly never seen one, but they seem to be so hated. Is it hating these movies one if those internet trends? or are they really so terrible? I am thinking of watching a couple myself to see, but maybe someone can explain to me why they are so awful before I put myself through what could be a waste of a few hours.

Low ratings, mediocre reviews, good ticket sales. Yes, the movies are predictable, but none of them are terrible. I do recommend watching these.

If you watch all 3 of those, then you will either love (like many) or hate (like few).
I saw one of the early Madea movies (forget which one) and it wasn't that bad except when Madea herself showed up.
I know people who saw this current film and the previous Madea movie, and have said they are both terrible (this one being worse).
The trend seems to be that each one has been worse than the previous one.
You can only blame so much on "internet trends" as you call them.
It sounds like you're a fan trying to pretend like you aren't.
Most reviews of this film are bad, so I'm not sure what you hope to gain by starting a new thread asking why it is bad.
Do you think the vast majority of people are lying and it's actually good?
Go see it then, and judge for yourself.

sharePenske, as others have said, just watch a few & judge for yourself.
There are some directors I've heard are terrible (such as Uwe Boll), but I don't mind watching some of the person's films & finding out for myself. OTOH, lots of folks sing praises for the LOTR movies, and I can't get into them. So you never know...
