Yeah the title sounds like something that was decided on by money men rather than based in the logic of the film.
That whole classroom discussion would have been better off mentioning Guinea Worm (which is a multicellular worm that causes its hosts to seek water to alleviate the burning in their legs, where the worm's sores can burst and spray eggs into the water supply) and Ophiocordyceps (zombie ant fungus) than the examples he gave anyway.
The effects of Toxoplasmosis are extremely overstated in news articles, more recent studies have shown that rats infected with T. gondii's natural fear responses to cat urine are within the margin of expected error for uninfected rats... i.e. it's not some kind of mind control suicider to its host.
Ophiocordyceps on the other hand... you can watch time-lapsed videos of infected ants climbing to the tops of blades of grass to be eaten by birds, and even see the fungus erupting from the head of the ant eventually if they don't get eaten quickly, it's gruesome.
