In the pilot episode, WINTER made it clear that he wanted BO to have a normal life. And the flashbacks throughout the season have shown why he was against the experimentations on her. So why did this episode start with TATE saying those things and WINTER saying the opposite?
I'm beginning to think that Winter might have a hidden Agenda. Another "orchestra" program was alluded to when Winter kidnapped and blackmailed Skouras in the last episode Sunday night.
Winter indicated that Bo needs to hone her powers so that she can protect herself against any threat that Skouras might throw at her. I don't think he has a hidden agenda. I think he definitely cared for Nina and feels committed to protecting Bo. But he also knows that Skouras is training other psychics and they could become strong enough to be a real threat to Bo, if she herself doesn't become stronger.
I would have believed that, but the problem is that something has changed with Winter in the past couple of episodes. I can't quite put my finger on it, I don't 100% trust him anymore. There's also the issue of friction between him and Tate.
Maybe what changed with Winter is that, now Bo and Tate both know they are related, so Winter is afraid/jealous that Bo is going to listen more to Tate than to him. Essentially, he's been like a dad to Bo since she was born, so it would be natural for him to be worried about being replaced. I think that's the source of tension between Winter and Tate. Winter tells her "no sugar" and Tate gives it to her. Winter says make a pyramid shape, but Tate is the one who actually gets her to do it. It's gotta hurt to suddenly be the 2nd most important person in Bo's life.

agreed up to a point MDM, but after the last episode, I'm not 100% sure.
