Getting a bit annoying

The show is getting annoying. It's so repetitive, so fake and non-stop bad actors. Tate is so fake, Bo is too sweet sometimes it's creepy and it's really going nowhere with the silly plot lines. And if skoures or what wherever his name is, has this girl dani who's almost just as good as Bo, what use does he have for her anymore? And btw, what happened to Sean? I thought he was up next to be the big bad guy? Did he kill Joshua for no reason?

Ok, ranting over. :)

Join the club, random characters thrown in for fun are big in this show. Skouras has the IQ of a kumquat, and doesn't realize that he's truly playing with fire with both Bo, who could turn him into something resembling week old road kill, and now Dani, who is a hell of a lot more manipulative than Bo.

As for Sean, standby, it MIGHT get explained.

I find it strange to believe that you made a whole post of how annoying the show is, but you're implying that Bo is the only part of the show that is NOT annoying?

Bo is hot, she has a good heart, but she's basically the MOST annoying part of the show! I wish Tate had more control over her because not only is his job to protect her, but he's the one who thinks more rationally.

It's like each episode is REQUIRED for Bo to save some random person's life and for one group of Winter's team to get caught and chased... EVEN if it slows down the plot and puts the group or a team member of the group in major danger.

While Bo was helping Gary, some random person, she COULD HAVE been helping Winter's group save Channing.

Again, while Bo was helping that skinny scrawny Asian girl and her family who she just met, she could have been helping Winter's team rescue Channing.

I know Bo likes to help people, and I guess I can't call her selfish because she helps OTHER people, but she's just so .... bratty! EVERYTHING has to go her way! She doesn't even listen to reason. Tate tells her good points on why it's NOT a good idea to help a random person at the time, and then she forces her way to do it anyways ... even if people are after to capture her, her dad, Winter, etc...

If Bo temporarily stopped helping RANDOM people, then she could focus on getting stronger, save people ON HER OWN TEAM, and then be ready for the next time that Tate's group gets chased.

Instead Bo's need to help random people slows down Winter's entire team!

MM,

But that's part of the problem of this show. The basic setup was that Winter, Bo and Co, basically help people while being chased. If it had been executed well, it would have been effective. In Channing's case, because it's action/adventure, the plot lines should have been and rightly so, separated, Bo doing her thing, Channing doing hers. The basic problem was that the whole Channing going to Orchestra never should have happened to begin with. That should have been dealt with someone from the inside, or the temp. In fact, if ZOE had done it, it would have been awesome and shown character growth. Plus from what I can gather, Bo didn't know Channing was in real trouble.

The random characters I was referring to were the ones that seem to pop in for one episode, then disappear without a trace.

If Bo temporarily stopped helping RANDOM people, then she could focus on getting stronger, save people FROM HER OWN TEAM, and then be ready for the next time that Tate's group gets chased.

I think this the point of the practicing now, but I still can't figure out where it's heading.

Bo has helped members of her own team before, though.

After last Sunday's episode, I think Tate is finally starting to realize that helping people is one of Bo's main missions, as he told HER to help the Asian girl on her own.

We'll see on the next episode.

To add to this, Bo, as a character, has fallen apart somewhat.

As for the annoying part, I've met kids that were exactly like Bo. I had one (the same girl) in Kinder, 3rd and now in 5th. She hasn't changed. She can very sharp tongued if crossed, stubborn, is very intelligent, has problems getting along with peers sometimes, can be withdrawn at times. BUT, she still caring and will fight for what's right.

I understand that MOST 10 year old girls in real life ARE annoying, but 1. this is a TV Show that seems to be targeted for adults. And 2. MOST 10 year old girls don't have super villains, FBI agents, police out to capture her, her dad, and her ... shall we say... guardian? Winter (he protects her and has the resources to do so) as well as Winter's "team mates."

Agreed MM, but this is fiction, and fiction that's not well put together at that.

The only thing that was basically holding this mess together was Bo and the helping people theme.

Even eight year old Charlie McGhee from Firestarter understood the situation they were in, and she did what she could to help her father, yet she knew when to let all hell break loose. Charlie defied her father every now and then too, the only difference is that Charlie was a stable, well built character.

Bo, not so much.

"Agreed MM, but this is fiction"

That just gives it even MORE reason to not make the 10 year old girl so annoying. :)

Actually, I think the show is getting better especially based on the last couple episodes.

Believe should be called Unbelievable.
Some spoilers below.

I feel this is the same formula as Touch (child prodigy plays on circumstance and fate vs in Believe where Bo creates that circumstance) and Alcatraz, also by J.J. Albrams (introduce one new prisoner that people have to hunt down vs in Believe save a life in each episode). Both have been cancelled.

"Believe" formula on every episode breaks down to this:
1. the chase (running from the bad guys),
2. main character has foresight and intervenes with fate. she's considered acceptable to do this as she has pure intentions thus she needs to save a life before every episode ends
3. father - daughter struggle vs love,
4. big bad guy vs big good guy (i'd rather watch Xmen),
5. hot (in this case Asian American) girl to fill in the scenes.
6. unrealistic cops or FBI always have no idea whats going on or power, or control.

All the three of these tv series have thrown in special effects of floating stuff.
Cmon Hollywood it is getting boring.

It seems the almighty creator of Believe thought up of this great formula and its on repeat for every episode almost to the point where they force the story around the same type of behavior for each character and the way each character responds to a certain other. There is no room for any variety. Its almost like a drug (but the kind to get you numb and dumb)

Bo is a good actor but there is only so much she can do given her role is nice and pure. Her smiles, grins or whatever are getting more and more unbelievable.

Roman Skouras shot Janice Channing in front of a crew of FBI agents and he doesn't get arrested for attempted murder (currently, we don't know if Janice is going to live) I was shouting out, "come on this is stupid" There are many unexplained phenomena that the FBI can't seem to put it into their own training, but for grabbing a gun from the FBI and shooting a person with FBI agents as witnesses without them taking any action - this is absurd.

I also wish American TV avoid start off with car accidents. We see it here and in so many other shows. Hollywood needs to grab our attention on the first second just in case we change channels. Cmon, have more faith in us.
