Blue Butterfly = Bo's Mom
Did anybody else get that feeling? Before, I just assumed it was an art-house kind of deal where it represented her powers, but this episode drove home its definitely her mom.

Yes it is definitely her Mother, her mother even wears a blue butterfly pendant.
shareThat was obvious from the start. I would say intentionally not that I spotted something hidden.
shareI believe it's her. But I do wonder, if their (special people) energy never dies, but transfers to another living host upon death?
I actually thought it was odd Tate & Bo never conversed about the butterfly, when it first appeared. Unless they both knew.
I was wondering what was with the blue butterfly.
shareYeah. I consider people NOT talking about obvious things bad writing. It's a cheap way to create drama and misunderstandings etc where none should exist. If people in many fantasy shows would just TALK to each other realistically much of the weak plot devices wouldn't work.
shareThe show maybe didn't have enough time in its short life for the characters to discuss it. Maybe they would have if NBC would have given it a second season.
shareI'm curious why it wasn't painfully obvious to you from the very beginning? They did everything but have bo call her mom.
sharePlatipus,
I watched this show from the beginning, but even I was surprised. On top of the fact that the blue butterfly thing was dropped for 4 episodes.
Also, Bo's mom was supposed to have been dead.
In the pilot Tate saw the butterfly twice and seemed to know it meant something. Then he when he saw it in the finale and asked Bo if she saw it too, it seems he knew then it was Nina. Did he know that in the pilot? Too bad its cancelled it would be a fun thing to explore.
