I think Sandra / Geraldine's machinations were too subtle for me. Did she befriend Bibi from the first just to find Gigi? How did she indentify G.'s address when the page it was written on said nothing else? How did she know she'd find Bibi alone there and that G. would phone?

I agree with everything the op said.
that whole scene was too convenient. plus, how did gigi know bibi would be there at that exact moment when he called that night? too convenient.
the whole movie is a train wreck. very uncharacteristic of french film. i only stayed with it to the end because mathias Sch. is one of my favorite actors.
the first half was okay and i was interested. but after midway it just went downhill.
i'm wondering how this got made. it's an odd one.
