shareYeah but it was silly and for me no one does silliness better than Waititi right now. I laughed. It’s good natured humour that doesn’t pull anyone down for laughs, sometimes I miss that these days when everything is so arch and cynical. Hitler suffers a bit, granted, but who’s gonna argue he doesn’t deserve a bit of ridicule?
I’m pretty sure Germans would get the joke, anyway.
I dunno. I wonder. That short scene might not translate; they might have omitted it.
shareI thought it was hilarious, in a Mel Brooks sort of way. Or better yet, the Coen brothers. Or Monte Python. Take your pick. Pure silliness, for the sake of silliness.
