Such a dark film

It's very cleverly done and is funny but it's impossible to actually laugh when you cannot help thinking of the horror of that time.
There were a few laughs at the busy showing I went to - mainly related to Sam Rockwell's character - but not many. There were also some children there and I can't imagine what kind of family discussion they had afterwards.
I guess I just didn't find it a comfortable film to watch.

Maybe it's your country/town. Over here, in Iceland, people were laughing at almost every joke. Actually might've been my favorite movie going experience ever, as everybody seemed to be enjoying it, but also seemed to be affected by the emotional moments (overheard a lot of positive things after the movie). And best of all, no person with a really annoying laugh, which has tainted a few screenings for me

I watched it in Cardiff, Wales today. But you could be right - maybe it works for that dark Nordic sense of humour we see in so many TV dramas these days. Or maybe it was the Sunday afternoon audience I was part of.
