I found it an okay film at first, but I just rewatched now and..
I have to admit that I didn't enjoy it at first when I watched a few years ago because I thought I wouldn't enjoy a movie about music and it was kind of boring. I don't know what the hell was wrong with me considering Black Swan has always been my all-time favorite film for years, both movies are very similar. So, I rewatched it now and I think it's a fuckin' brilliant movie. Absolutely brilliant, tense and intense movie! It has a great style, scenario, cinematography and all, especially performance by J.K. Simmons who absolutely deserved to win an Oscar, he was just evil and brilliant in every damn good ways. It was so tense watching the teacher emotionally abusing a 19-year-old jazz drummer considering he was actually good at playing, but he non-stop trying to be more and more perfect. The ending gave me chills realizing how this movie was just so creepy. Also, Miles Teller was excellent in his role too. I think this movie is just a nightmare and an absolute masterpiece, Now, I added this movie in my top 50 of all time.
