So how's it gonna end.

Spoilers - But Bridges, he is gonna kill Pine in the end right. That's what I think anyway. You?

Was just debating this with someone. My vote is "no." One, he (Bridges) would be arrested and tried for murder. Two, he says to Pine at the end "this will haunt you for the rest of your days." I think Bridges could see that Pine was not a cold-blooded killer or trigger-happy and crazy like his brother, but rather a guy trying to do right by his family, a planner, thoughtful, organized. He would understand that the events would eat away at Pine, and probably derive satisfaction from knowing that he'd always be haunted by what occurred and always concerned someone would figure it out or, potentially, that Bridges would show up at his door and kill him.

I wrote this in another thread but I feel it's applicable here as well;

I don't think he will either. Though I got the impression he was almost suicidal since he was basically egging on the earlier confrontation at the farm while his pistol was tucked in his waistband inside his shirt. Maybe he thought if he was killed by Toby fellow LEO would investigate a little closer?

Either way, I feel that his decision to go to the farm, armed, and confront the surviving brother without any evidence and after he retired and was essentially a civilian, made him no better than Toby himself. He was there simply for revenge, and not as an agent of our justice system. And in that I think he was wrong, especially since he was willing to commit premeditated murder.

In that final I was rooting for Toby.
