Did Ben Foster know about the oil?
Couldn't tell if he had any idea about the oil in the land.
Figured he went along because his brother asked for help.. and for the thrill.
Yeah I'm pretty sure he knew...

Just saw the movie. Totally agree, cast great but Jeff Bridges was amazing. Please answer one question, as I forgot already. At end of movie, and Chris Pine was speaking with Jeff and Jeff said that he, Chris, was the smart one to have set it all up, was't it actually his brother, Ben who said put the Trust with Midland Bank, as a cover?

shareNot only did he know but it's insinuated that the banks knew too which is why they were screwing his mother over and trying to get the land for cheap.
