What did she mean?
I think she meant she would call the baby Augustus, after the survivalist's brother. I guess that is why he told her the name just before he was caught.
I think she was the survivalist, as he died and was eaten!
shareIt was the guy that was the survivalist: living alone and making an art of the whole thing. Him dying at the end does not negate that. Note that the movie is called "The Survivalist", not "The Survivor".

shareYes it was. Right after he told Mia of the story with his brother, they were both lying in bed. She then put his hand on her stomach and he looks at her in disbelief. The next scene is spent with him in the woods with his shotgun thinking hard. They very much implied he knew, though it was never explicitly stated.

shareYep. This is exactly what it means in my opinion. The man told her his brother's name as he knew he was about to die, and she would name her son Augustus in memorium (albeit, more in the memory of her lover who saved her life than the lover's brother).
